It took a while, but I finally circled back around to work with the first grade, and we did A LOT!

We also sang a pretty goofy song about some animals and the strange places they end up!

This is my Bitmoji Dinosaur Jungle!
Each dinosaur contains a link to a video or another resource. Some of them we looked at class, others will be brand new! Feel free to explore, and ask me any questions! |
Finally, we had another visit with our old friend Pocoyo, as he prepared a gift for Elly's birthday.

I was so thrilled to learn that I would be spending the first two weeks of this year in first grade. It has been a wonderful experience, interacting with the students in different contexts and working alongside the teachers. It has meant some significant adjustments to how we are learning French, but we're cruising right along!
Our topic during this time has paralleled with the first grade' science studies. We read La chenille qui fait des trous (ask your child what that means, as it is not a direct translation! We listened to this goofy song with dancing fruits, and even brought in some math, graphing the fruit likes and dislikes of the students in the class. The dogs in this video sure gave us a lot to laugh about!
You will hear more from me when I am next with first grade, in December!
